David Donnellan – Software Developer & Founder of ‘Dakido’
I spent four fantastic years studying in Multimedia Programming & Design in LIT The course was excellent as we got a lot of exposure to a number of different technologies. The lecturers were knowledgeable, approachable and were always eager to help with any queries as well as offer great advice. For my Final Year Project I made an educational mobile game for Android. It was this project that decided my career and how I would utilise my experience from LIT.
I began working as a Software Developer for Apple straight after I completed college. After two great years there, I decided to pursue my passion of game development. I had fallen in love with this genre of development during my time in LIT and in the summer of 2015 I started my own company. My company is called ‘Dakido’ and was established in partnership with my brother Kieran who also studied here in L.I.T.
Our first game is called ‘Playnets’ and is free to download on iOS.
For me, it started in LIT
